Over Easter weekend, we flew up to NY to visit Phil's family. We had a great trip, even though it was a quick one. I'm excited to report that Grandpa Henry is doing A LOT better after his heart surgery- Praise God! :) He's going to rehab each week, and slowly but surely getting his strength back and getting back to his old self! We are so thankful for all of your prayers! Sadly, it was such a quick trip that we didn't even get the camera out of the suitcase! We are planning a longer trip around July 4th, hopefully, so we'll be sure to update pictures from NY after that.
The following weekend, we went to Greensboro to hang out with my side of the family. Jason and Becky and Emma came down from Maryland, so of course Emma stole the show. Other people are in my pictures solely because they were near her ;)
We visited my grandparents, so they could see Emma (and the rest of us, I guess). She found a ball on the porch and was entertained for a while :)
Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Erin and Uncle Phil took Emma to the playground one morning. She conquered her fear of tunnels :)
Everyone took turns sliding- she loved it!
She's really getting the hang of walking- she can be pretty speedy!
In a trip that required the entire family's presence, we took her to get her first pair of "real" shoes. I totally support teaching a girl the importance of shoes at a young age :)
And the winning shoe is... polka dots!!! Yea! :)
